Make a Wishing Tree / Tree of Hope |
![]()
|
Making a Wishing Tree:
- Draw the shape of a tree - similar to the guide above on a sheet of card - as large as you like (or use the A4 size printable template file above if you have a printer at home)
- Cut out the shape with either a craft knife or scissors
- Use this first flat 'tree' as the template for a second one
- Make a slot from the top to the middle of one and from the the bottom to the centre of the other
- Slot the 2 pieces together and tape together where necessary.
- You can also use 2 strips of card as a base if necessary
- You can make holes on the 'branches' or cut grooves on the top of the branches for tags to be tied / slotted on
- Write positive messages of hope on tags, or coloured paper cut to shape and stapled / glued / tied on.
- You could add your own pictures and share on social media.
- You could use your tree as a Covid-19 diary - write on your feelings / things you did / want to do.
- Why not put your tree in your front window for people on their daily exercise to see?
